Marvin Long scrapbook, 1924-1937.

This collection consists of a scrapbook created by Marvin Long to document his time as a Penn State student. The scrapbook contains photographs of Mt. Nittany, State College, and Penn State campus, including buildings such as Old Main, Schwab Auditorium, and the Armory. There are also photographs of student activities, such as armed forces exercises and the football, baseball, and basketball teams. In addition to the photographs, there are programs from performances in Schwab Auditorium, newspaper clippings about athletics, athletic tickets, and programs from Penn State events, such as the 1930 commencement ceremony, scholarship day exercises, and the Penn State Bulletin. There are also student handbooks and regulations posters.

Marvin Long, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State in 1930 with a degree in electrical engineering. Long was a member of Acacia fraternity, Blazer Committee, Junior Class Color Committee, and was the secretary for the Student American Institute for Electrical Engineers.
